“I want to tell you what most important is to fashion. Fashion is always close to you wherever you live. It is standing with anything. 1925 fashion was special because women had just started to work like men. I couldn't’ believe women cut their hair shorter, and I thought it will be modern women style. For women who go to work, I told them to take off bone corset. They can’t work with wearing corset.” After Chanel became old, she said like this.
Armani grew up to the huge fashion brand company that can propose everything of life style. Giorgio Armani said, “I’m chasing what absolutely natural, comfortable wear and what suits modern life style. And what I’m chasing comes simple naturally. There is no meaning that to be surprised audience by something strange.” It is said that Armani’s works have transgressive elegance and ultimate modernism resides them.
Coco Chanel’s or Giorgio Armani’s works and ideas tell us real fashion comes from simple and elegance. Especially, what Chanel brought black into fashion explain that, and have an effect on today’s fashion and fashion designers. Now there is no one who thinks wearing black is strange. Also, Chanel made suits and people can wear them as whether casual or formal because of her. This is connecting to that Armani proposes his works focus on men’s and women’s suits. A suit is a wear that simple and elegance is needed very much. Why fashion can affect to economy is seen by that they show what we want or what need, that is trend, comfortably or functionality.
I could see they are great designer both in the fashion world. Many designers had an inspiration and a good effect from them. I don’t know whether I’ll work with the fashion or not, but I think I could a good study. I want to tell a lot of people about their great achievements.

Then, I will show next part follow the part I introduced before.
She was a courageous person. She broke the existing traditional style of woman fashion and she tried hard to change all women’s idea to their clothes. To know what she did, we can learn many things from her. For example, we can turn over a bad condition to good as she became succeed in although she was poor, and we can make a dream come true as she believed in herself and fulfilled her dream.
What feature her style has is first, she is a first designer who brings black to fashion. Black is used only for mourning wear before she has appearance. Everyone had an image that black is for mourning dress, but She had an idea that black is a color that can take out a personality of its wearer. She produced a dress coordinated black all over. And she could change black to that safest, chicest and forever fashionable color. Next, as written previously, she first used jersey cloth for women fashion. ‘To work and live, not to dress, this jersey dress was born with like this her idea. Also, it is said that she created new styles for example woman have a shoulder bag. Hand bag fill in one hand absolutely and it is inconvenient. To express its elegance and character, a design which has a chain with assist strap was born at this time. We can say it is one of her classic works that is functional and elegant.
In the fashion history, there are 2 designers who produced a style without corset. First one is Paul Poiret. He received an inspiration from Oriental fashion and the style that doesn’t use corset was popular among nobility by him. Second one is Chanel. Corset was known as a symbol of desire to the nobility. She kicked out forever the concept from fashion scene, which it is naturally to wear the corset until then, so that she is said she is a designer who made woman free not only from the corset to their body, but also from the corset to their mental.
All her styles consistently have a commonality. It is “simple and elegant”. What she bring black into fashion, what she use jersey, what she kicked out corset and so on, we can say her all works are plain or graceful. Especially, the black was a fundamental color in her style, and from then we wear a black cloth when we are in formal place and also we wear one as a casual wear. Because of her, black has been closed to us.
I showed that many basic forms of modern fashion were made by Chanel. A lot of designers affected by her and respected to her basic concept of simplicity and elegance.
In this part, I talk about what she made or did, for example that she changed the concept of black, that she made the shoulder bag and so on.

Now I'm writing paper.
As a topic of my paper, I will talk about Coco Chanel at first. I introduce what I will write.
Most people must hear ‘Chanel’ and see the mark of it. Gabrielle Chanel was born in France, on August 19, 1883. Chanel’s family did not have money, and they lived in a poor house in a narrow street. Before she became twelve, her mother died. Then her father left Chanel, and she grew at the orphanage. Gabrielle had been staying there for six years. She was a fierce and restless girl, what is called tomboy. And she had noticed that she was different from others. At that time, a modern fashion and lifestyle came to the big cities of France with The Industrial Revolution. She couldn’t live in such the city, so Chanel repellenced to her unfortunate childhood which she was an orphan. She had a desire to want to let others recognize her ever since she was a child.
She graduated from the orphanage, and she started to work at a shop in Moulin as a seamstress with using her skills which she learned at the orphanage. Then she met a handsome businessman, and she went to Paris with him. He accepted her wish that she wanted to open a hatter. 1910, the hatter was named Chanel opened next door to present head office of Chanel.
She got some ideas from men’s clothes. At that time a jersey was used for men’s fashion and used as undergarments before she produced Chanel suits. The reason why anybody didn’t use jersey for fashion is that it is a soft and elasticity but it’s difficult to handle its appearance and weave. Chanel adopted some special quality of a jersey as couture fabric and she created clothes for modern women. After World War 1, she made clothes with jersey cloth finally.
