It is standing with anything. 1925 fashion was special because women had just started to work like men. I couldn't’ believe women cut their hair shorter, and I thought it will be modern women style. Armani grew up to the huge fashion brand company that can propose everything of life style. Giorgio Armani said, “I’m chasing what absolutely natural, comfortable wear and what suits modern life style. And what I’m chasing comes simple naturally. There is no meaning that to be surprised audience by something strange.” It is said that Armani’s works have transgressive elegance and ultimate modernism resides them.
Coco Chanel’s or Giorgio Armani’s works and ideas tell us real fashion comes from simple and elegance. Especially, what Chanel brought black into fashion explain that, and have an effect on today’s fashion and fashion designers. Now there is no one who thinks wearing black is strange. Also, Chanel made suits and people can wear them as whether casual or formal because of her. This is connecting to that Armani proposes his works focus on men’s and women’s suits. A suit is a wear that simple and elegance is needed very much. Why fashion can affect to economy is seen by that they show what we want or what need, that is trend, comfortably or functionality.
I could see they are great designer both in the fashion world. Many designers had an inspiration and a good effect from them. I don’t know whether I’ll work with the fashion or not, but I think I could a good study. I want to tell a lot of people about their great achievements.

Giorgio Armani
I introduce Giorgio Armani in this part. I’m talking about what person he is, how the start of his designer life is and what his style is.
Giorgio Armani was born in Piacenza, Italy. He entered the Milan University and belonged to the medical science department after graduating from high school. When he was two year, he served in army. After that he didn’t be back to medical science and dropped out the university. He decided to go to the business world.
He served on the window dresser buyer at the La Rinascente, which is a department store in Milan from 1957 to 1964. He was familiar to the design and material that the consumer needed, and had a large knowledge of the produce process distribution. By the chance of scouting as an assistant designer at a fashion house Nino Cerruti, he assumed the designer of Hit-man, which is menswear. Armani learned fashion design from him.
To work as a free designer, he left the company in 1970. He produced the menswear requested by some companies. He became Sergio Galeotti’s partner, and established a menswear label, Armani in 1974 when he was 41 years old. It is said that it’s late to build a company considering the designer. Previously Armani’s works were men-oriented, but they introduced a women’s wear line in 1975.
It is said the reason why his women’s line was hit in the same way his men’s line is that the time which he released women’s style had been fitted to the time which Carrier Woman Generation was about to come to America. He applied the functionality of men’s wear to women’s one, and pursued what womanish style is or how he can make comfortable wear for ladies from a luxury material and a beautiful shape. The desire that women wanted to work met Armani’s works for them very well.
He has many names, for example the king of mode fashion or one of Milan 3G, and that is not strange as we think his talent. 1980, he published ‘Armani Jeans’ that was a second line and made for young people. Then he produced the perfume for ladies 1982, and for men 1984. Also, 1987 h opened two special lines of sun glasses and a sock. 90s he brought American Casual into mode fashion and he published ‘Armani Exchange’. Like this, Armani has various talent and all of them bring fresh style to 80s and 90s fashion.
“Fashion should suit the life style of the age. If the age is that women work at the office same as men, fashion designers have to produce styles which women can wear at the office comfortably. Clothes that designers made because they just think its cool are not needed.” Armani said. He always cares about functionality and also what is popular now or what customer needs. “This is fashion so this style should be like this, I think this way has finished.” This is his symbolic word, which catches the trend of fashion quickly. His feature is that he has a nice sense to business and proposes what customer wants.
